The licence types: BK, PG and PL
The GRA issues licences by category, and the two-letter prefix on a licence number tells you what the operator is allowed to offer:

Find the licence number in the site's footer
Licensed Kenyan operators display a GRA (or, during the transition, BCLB) licence number, usually in the page footer. It carries a category prefix — for example BK-0001279 for a bookmaker, or PG-0001281 for casino games. No number at all is a red flag: don't deposit.

A footer number can be copied, so never take it at face value. Confirm the operator and its licence on the regulator's published list, or on our own licence register, which shows each operator's status and the date we last verified it. The legal entity named on the licence should match the company operating the site, and the URL should be the operator's genuine domain. Mismatches are how cloned or copycat sites pass themselves off as licensed.
